Boost Engagement in September with this Simple Religious Calendar

September was a fun month. I started my second job and also started learning Jiu Jitsu. It also meant that I didn’t read as much, and I was constantly in a little pain…

August 2020

August was…great. I had a new job, worked on reconnecting with old friends, joined a book club and just generally got my life feeling a lot more sorted. I also found out that two of my closest friends were pregnant… both due within the same month. It made for a FANTASTIC ending to the month… although left me feeling a little baby obsessed…

June 2019 Forecast - Melanie Joy

June began with me finally admitting that my mental health is not okay. And finding a way to get back on my feet. Which also included reading… a lot.

May – Fifth Month of the Year

I really got into the swing of quarantine in May. As weird as that sounds. I got the house sorted out. I got lots of reading done. I started exercising more. Which then meant I slept better. Which meant that I had more energy for reading… it was a good month.

April Programming Focus — DRIVE Fitness

April was the serious beginning of quarantine in Australia. It was also the point at which I ceased being a PhD student… it was insane, intense and weighed heavily on everyone’s mentality.

February kind of sucked. I had a bad birthday, a falling out with my best friend and the final month of my PhD probationary period. ‘Nuff said.

January 2020

January was an interesting month. It was hot, the month started with everything on fire and I was going to try and be a little more controlled with my reading. It kind of worked. And I did get a lot done. Not a bad start to the year…

December 2019

December was a “fun” month. I had a major crash with my health, but still had a tonne of stuff due. It was stressful. Add that to the fact that it’s the silly season… it’s been an intense month. But, I’m getting there. Here’s to the new year and new beginnings! At least being so sick gave me a bit of a reboot on my life, priorities and work…

I also read a LOT… mostly because I wanted to try and finish the reading challenges I had set for 2019. I failed. But at least I tried. I DID however succeed in finishing all of the books on my list that I was currently reading. So I rung in the New Year with nothing on my currently reading shelf.

September I started to get my feet back under me. It’s been rough, hectic and I’ve done a lot of reading just to try and get my brain back into gear… but I think that I’m slowly getting there. Only time will tell.

August 2019

August was kind of a sucky month for me. There were just so very many things that were not going right… Which left me a stressed out, exhausted mess. Normally that would mean that I would read a lot more to try and get myself calm. But, sadly, because I was actually that overwrought and exhausted, I only managed to finish 7 books. And I didn’t even get a chance to read many short stories… as I said, a sucky month. 😦
