I’m always a fan of friends to lovers stories. They’re cute and fun. And I honestly think that the best basis for a good relationship is a strong friendship. The fact that in this case, the friendship is based around Ashley’s brother does make it somewhat awkward. But also so very delicious…
I haven’t found a story by Erin McCarthy that I don’t enjoy. This novella was no exception. There’s fun and sass throughout, with plenty of heart. There’s also just the right amount of steam that makes you wonder when your significant other is getting home…
Another easy and fun read that had me smiling and feeling at peace. I’m looking forward to reading the next one on my shelves.

This is such a wonderfully cute Meet Cute story. Everything in this has a feeling of fate, plus, you add in the fact that it is totally a set up. Just a typical, happy and fun McCarthy novella that will leave a grin on your face and a spring in your step.
I love that Trish is independent, strong and driven. It’s difficult as a woman like this to find a man that is willing to stand by your side. And the fact that she is featured so strongly in this novella. Plus, some of her little quirks had me laughing out loud. Plus, there were multiple moments which reminded me of my own sister.
Caleb is just the most beautiful / biggest lug of a man. Combine that with the fact that he’s a sweetheart… it was just a perfect matching with Trish’s prickly outside. All in all, I can’t even with the heat and lust in this story! It’s gorgeous, fun and just all round cute and enjoyable.

Being discovered in flagrante computer delicto doesn’t seem to bother Kindra. In fact, she claims to prefer the impersonal touch to the complication of a relationship. This novella is lustful, sexy and just oh so good. Not that I’ve ever trialled cybersex… but I do like the potential play involved… particularly when the description of Mack Stone is just oh so yummy. Even though this story is a little erotic, ultimately, I still found it to be a fairly sweet McCarthy story. There is just something so cute about her writing that I can’t deny. And I love it! Even when it’s dealing with cybersex…
Kindra and Mack kind of have a love at first sight vibe in their romance. But, then, it’s built up over a year or so of working together. This is the kind of romance I tend to prefer – I’ve never quite understood how true love is just based on a single glance – it feels like it should be something that takes a little more work. Plus, I love the moment when Mack shows how much he already knows about Kindra and shares how much he cares. It is so much more fun than, ‘wow, I was struck by lightning.’
The end of the story with Bitsy might actually be one of my favourite moments in a story. There is something hilarious about the whole scene. Particularly when you match the man I imagine Mack to be with a tiny little Toy Poodle with pink ribbons in her hair…
